Creating Ecosystem Conservation Champions

LEAD India successfully organized national awareness program on biodiversity conservation and climate change. These programs were designed to create a cadre of community level “Conservation Champions “and to hone their leadership skills for being a catalyst for change.

The project was intended to increase awareness on climate change issues for conservation of biodiversity in three different fragile ecosystems of cold desert (Leh, Jammu Kashmir), Arid (Alwar, Rajasthan) and coastal & marine (Great Nicobar Islands, A&N).
