Bhawana is Executive Director of the Fellows Program at LEAD (Leadership for Environment and Development) International, New Delhi. Over the years
her expertise has been developed in designing and delivering sustainability learning and leadership programs for senior level professionals across all sectors. Thematically, her work has been focused in NRM based Sustainable Livelihoods (through Community based enterprises and designing climate compatible development projects), Climate Change Adaptation, Water-Sanitation and Disaster Preparedness.
She has first hand on-the- ground experience supporting various State governments in design strategies for Climate Compatible Development, integrating participatory approaches in development work, identifying best practices and designing strategies for up scaling community driven projects through research and policy advocacy. Being a Systems Thinker, she is a qualified trainer and learning facilitator cum advisor on how to Integrating Climate Adaptation into Development Planning and Climate Proofing of Development Projects across sectors.

Vidya Nair, has over fifteen years of work experience in India and outside. Having worked with corporate, consulting, civil society organization and school, she brings with her an experience and appreciation for multiple perspectives and sensitivity towards working in a multicultural environment. She draws her strength from continuing to be a keen learner throughout her professional experiential journey in sectors ranging from education, overseas volunteering, active citizenship, health care, resettlement and rehabilitation and waste management.
Her adaptability and willingness to wear different hats reflects in a wide range of professional roles she has engaged in, ranging from primary and secondary social research, social impact assessments, proposal and report writing, planning and implementing communication campaign and outreach programs. She works at The Mother's International School, Delhi in developing an experiential space for children to engage and learn about the world around them. She researches, develops learning materials and activities; and facilitates learning.
Beyond cognitive development, the initiative finds its strength in integrating mental, physical, and emotional development in children. At LEAD India, as a team member, she works on building new partnerships, proposal development, and LEAD Fellowship related planning, and execution. She holds a Masters degree in Sociology, loves travelling, exploring diverse culture, yoga, sports, swimming, designing spaces and art.
Head, Admin & LEADnet
Nagarajan has been with the LEAD Program since 1996 when it was being managed by a private consultant of Rockefeller Foundation. When Centre for Research Ecology and Environment (CREED) took over the LEAD program in 1997, his services were transferred and he worked with CREED till end of 2000.Since January 1 st , 2001 the LEAD Programme in India is being managed directly by a Society called LEAD-India. The services of Nagarajan were again transferred to this society. He joined as Program Coordinator, Logistics and MIS, looking after the networking area and coordinating the LEAD India training program.
Nagarajan is the Head, Admin & LEADnet and is mainly responsible for the Admin issues and Networking within the Secretariat and with the Fellows Community as also Coordinating the Website and assisting as part of the Communication Wing.
Mukesh graduated in B. Com from Delhi University after which he has worked with The creative marketing, Joginder singh associates and Clear concept
as accountant. Mukesh has joined LEAD India from July 2013.
Mukesh looks after accounts of LEAD India and assists manager in preparation of financial reports.
Vani Manocha Lalit
Nearly seven years of her work experience in media and communication includes stints at The Times of India and Down To Earth (Centre for Science and Environment). At both these organisations, she has worked intensively with the web teams. At Down To Earth, Vani also contributed writings for the magazine and annual books (State of India Environment Report 2015 & 2016).
Besides, she is also a trained teacher. She just graduated as a LEAD India Fellow, Cohort 17 where she attended intensive trainings on climate change and related themes, travelling across India to work on region-specific challenges. Vani has joined LEAD India as Consultant and she looks forward to a great learning experience working with planners, engineers and sustainability enthusiasts here.
Apart from this, she has been involved in a few volunteering initiatives and these were pursued along with her work. These include counselling ill kids at shelter homes in Delhi and holding story-telling sessions with them after an informal training from a counsellor. The initiative was called Subah. She has
also worked with a lawyer to propogate knowledge of the Right To Education in slums in Delhi. Vani is a Bachelor in Education, certified by CBSE to teach in schools (CTET qualified) and has also been awarded by IBM Daksh India for spoken communication skills.
Jagdish Prasad Tomar
Designation: Office in-charge
Having worked in Siemens for one year, Jagdish joined LEAD India in 1998 and goes on to be one of the oldest serving employee of LEAD India.
Role in the organization: Jagdish proves to be the spine of day-to- day functioning of LEAD India secretariat. He is responsible for maintaining files, day-to- day bank work and maintaining call logs.
