Climate Change Leaders Programme-Case study development Workshop

A Case study workshop washeld on 16-17 February, 2009 in Nainital for the selected Climate Change Leaders of the Northern Region.  The aim of the workshop is to bring forth regional climate change priorities, encourage sharing of experiences and discussion about related topics and other technical aspects for developing a case study.

 

The main purpose of these case studies being developed by the Climate Change Leaders is to showcase the efforts that are being made by the rural communities/ grassroots organizations/ local authorities etc to mitigate the affects of climate change.

Climate Change Leaders Workshop - 17-19 November 2008, Kaziranga National Park, Assam

A three day training program has been jointly organised by LEAD in collaboration with the British High Commission and ‘The Missing Link’, our implementing partner in the North East, for 30 CCLs, selected from the West Bengal and North Eastern States [Arunachal Prades, Assam, Manipur, Meghalya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura], in the Kaziranga National Park was held during 17th to 19th November 2008. The training aims to impart required leadership skills and domain knowledge to the prospective climate change leaders, which shall build their capacities to deal with the local challenges posed by the changing climate scenario.

 

2nd National Training Session for C - 13

2nd NTS for Cohort 13 was from the 27th June (evening) to 3rd July 2008 at Centre for Experiencing Socio Cultural Interaction (CESCI), Madurai (Tamil Nadu). N Muthu Velayutham of Cohort 11 was hosted this NTS on Energy and Climate Change with special focus on Renewable Energy. more.....

Come Write History:  Delhi Youth Charter on Climate

As a part of our continued efforts in the field of Climate Change, we are now engaging with the youth of Delhi and are conducting a Delhi Youth Summit on Climate in collaboration with Indian Youth Climate Network, Fountain of Development, Research & Action (FODRA), United Nations Educational Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Youth Parliament Foundation. The Delhi Youth Summit on Climate aims to bring together the youth of Delhi to begin the dialog on Delhi’s fate in the wake of climate change.
