Youth Outreach Programme:

The aim of this outreach programme is to help build future citizens who are aware, sensitized, knowledgeable and passionate enough to become effective agents of change. The main focus of this programme is to encourage children to take part in activities which would help them understand in the larger context of sustainable development issues such as Climate change, Global warming, Carbon footprints and offsets, Interdependence of species, Conservation of flora and fauna, Satisfying needs not greed and other such issues in a ‘fun’ way so that they may internalize these concepts without the baggage of technical jargon that often accompanies them.

Ecotourism and Community Based Tourism:

Another project in the pipeline is to develop ecotourism and community based tourism in both Goa and Bhutan. In Goa we will focus on providing alternate livelihoods to communities that have been traditionally engaged in mining as these mines are soon to be closed. Apart from community representatives, this workshop will target a multi-stakeholder group including existing businesses in tourism, arts and crafts retail, mining representatives, NGOs etc.

In Bhutan the objectives will be to create awareness, appreciation for the protection of natural and cultural resources among both villagers and visitors; to develop a model for learning how to successfully apply the community tourism approach to Bhutan's unique landscape and culture; to provide the rural community with tangible benefits through training,
